Pawali Paws and Whiskers: A 5 Day Celebration of Diwali – Bunty, Babli, Mini and Prince Goldie
1) The Great Diwali Cleaning: As Diwali was approaching, the traditional cleaning of the house was the most important, and with our four friends, this cleaning was full of fur, whiskers and pawprints. This process lasted for the first two to three days. Bunty inspected every dusting cloth, Babli turned mop time into a splash time, Mini just observed all the work being done, and Prince Goldie observed everything like a true royal. At the end of the day, the house just didn’t feel clean and ‘furry’ but also felt light and peaceful.
2) Illuminating the House: The next day, the cats were at work to decorate the house with diyas, fairy lights and even warm hues of gold. Besides that, each one of the cats had such strong reactions: Bunty started chasing the light reflections on the wall, Babli began posing like a model beside an LED diya, Mini sat peacefully by the window, her eyes reflecting tiny flames, and Prince Goldie claimed the centre spot near a big lantern like a king on his throne.
3) Decorating with Feline Flair: The living room was transformed into a festival haven – with colourful pawgoli, flower garlands and shiny drapes everywhere. Babli certainly knew a lot about decorating the house!
4) The Diwali Photo Shoot: Once the home was glowing, it was also time for the main event – the Diwali photo shoot. This lasted for both the 3rd and 4th day of Diwali. In a cosy corner, with fairy lights and marigold flowers, each cat began to pose:
· Bunty began to pose playfully with the twinkling lights
· Babli began to blink dramatically, giving the night a pure Bollywood diva effect.
· Mini looked calm and serene as she posed like a sage
· Prince Goldie sat regally in front of the entire diya arrangement
The cameraman, who was also present, began to capture exceptional shots of not just the charming aesthetics of the house but also the family bond, and also clicked a family portrait of the four of them at the end.
5) Ending the 5th Night with Treats, Purrs and Peace: By the time it reached the fifth day, Bunty, Babli, Mini and Prince Goldie, along with the humans, were given special treats. While humans got what is known as deserts, the cats were in for a real treat with some of their favourite snacks that were served in festive bowls. Some of these included freshly baked cat cookies, whiskers ka halwa, tuna delight bites, mini’s carrot crunchies, Goldie’s cheesy hearts and Babli’s tuna poppers. Besides this, Bunty, Babli, Mini and Prince Goldie all got a personalised plate with their name written on it. This was a highlight of the festival, and the sweets were also referred to as purr-asad. The night ended with alot of gratitude and peace held by Bunty, Babli, Mini and Prince Goldie.
